Selected data from the White River Basin study available for downloading

The following data sets are available for downloading as ascii files. Most are fixed format files. (Select the file description for more information about the data file contents.) Data available here include field parameters (water temperature, specific conductance, dissolved oxygen, and pH); 9 of the 10 most commonly used agricultural herbicides in the White River Basin during 1992-94 (atrazine, metolachlor, alachlor, butylate, cyanazine, pendimethalin, 2,4-D, bentazon, and acetochlor--no data are available for glyphosate, the 6th most used agricultural herbicide); the 3 most commonly used agricultural insecticides (fonofos, chlorpyrifos, and terbufos); 2 pesticides commonly used for non-agricultural purposes in the basin (diazinon and prometon); 2 additional triazine herbicides (metribuzin and simazine) and selected nitrogen and phosphorus compounds. Data used to generate the summary of detections and concentrations tables in U.S. Geological Survey Circular 1150, "Water quality of the White River Basin, Indiana, 1992-96" are also available here. (Some browsers may display the data files rather than save them to a file when you select them. If this happens, the data can be obtained by saving the displayed information as a plain text file. Likewise, the file description information can be saved to a file in the same manner.) White River Basin study data are also included in a searchable data base of U.S. Geological Survey water data for Indiana available at http://water.usgs.gov/in/nwis and a searchable database of all NAWQA data available at http://water.usgs.gov/nawqa/data.
